Santa Rosa, Rondos & Baños

The next team to come this way will be led by New Life Community Church in Asheville NC and Disciple Makers Church in FL.  They will be planning in Santa Rosa and leading conferences in Rondos and Baños in the Huanuco region. They have asked that you pray for them in these ways:

* Pray for safety and good health.  Some of our team members are already experiencing health challenges before we even leave.
* Pray that we will be able to connect with the hearts of the people we are ministering to. We have a plan, but we want to be ready to change in order to be more effective in our communication.    
* Pray that the people attending the conference will be ready to receive the hope of the great commission and ready to break through barriers that keep us all from being bold in engaging lostness wherever we find it.

Recuay, Catac, & Ticapampa

Today, the team from Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hillsborough, N. C. will begin their journey to Lima, and tomorrow to Huaraz. They will be teaching in various communities near Recuay the following week. They request you pray for:
* Safe travel up the mountain by bus  & in the van around Recuay
* Bible study,  "Who is Jesus? "
* Share the gospel boldly
* Ministering to the youth and children
* Good health & stamina to walk up in the mountains
* Ministry encounters:  God will lead us to the right people

Pray for Earl, Phillip, Rene’, Paul, Robert, Margaret, Philip and David as they share the Word, as well as their interpreters Yolanda, Anibal and Erick.

First, We Pray

As we begin what we consider to be the busier time of the year, I am asking for you to pray for our U.S. teams who are serving here in the Huaylas Valley. These churches and individuals have made a huge commitment, both personal and financial. Some sacrifice a great deal to come 3 or 4 times a year.

Ingleside Church, Macon, GA – led by David serving in Santa Cruz, Huaylas and Macate
South Fork Association,  Lincolnton, NC – led by Ken, Bartley & Krystle serving in Caraz
FBC Jesup, GA – led by Mike & Creston in Yungay
Ebenezer BC, Hillsborough, NC  – led by Phillip and René serving in Recuay and the surrounding area.
Lifepoint Church and partnering with them The Ridge Church & Chillicothe BC in Ohio - led by Jonathan, Steve and Shane - serving in Tapacocha, Cotaparaco & Pararin

Also lift up Colonial Heights Baptist Church (Ridgeland, MS), a team from my home area. They are led by long time partners, Randy and Gene.
Pray for:
1. Continued guidance by the Holy Spirit in their efforts.
2. Wisdom as they plan and execute the necessary strategy to reach and disciple the lost.
3. Deeper relationships with their Peruvian partners and leaders

I know these folks will appreciate your prayers.

Annual Leaders’ Conference…..and Elvis too!

Beginning on Tuesday of next week the annual conference will take place here at the Baptist church in Huaraz. This will be the 8th consecutive year and the excitement is growing. This is always a special time as we will all be renewing friendships and hearing the Word. We are excited that Dr. Joselito Orellana and Dr. David Sills will again be teaching and preaching.
1. Pray for safe travel for the attendees, the folks from Ingleside Church in Macon, GA and the speakers.
2. Pray that the strike will be over and that they can get here!
3. Pray for understanding of the material that will be presented.
4. Pray that all will leave encouraged and renewed.

And yes, Elvis will be here again, traveling all the way from the jungle!

Margos-Yarowilca-Lauricocha Quechua

A team of 5 from New Life Church in Asheville NC will be serving in and around Baños, Huánuco through Sunday the 18th. Pray for us as we travel and work with the local pastor, Asuncion. This is a new SC church so they will be also be researching and building relationships with the people. Pray for Steve, Andrey, Casey, Lylia and Reynaldo as well as Mijail and Yolanda our interpreters. McCall - South Carolina Team - On the Road Again

The McCall team has been serving in the Ocros District since early August. Pray for their health and safety as they return to serve in Cajamarquilla and Rajan until mid-December. It is raining here as if it were January and it is difficult to negotiate the mountain roads. Also they request that you pray for the people they will encounter. Pray for open hearts and that they will have a desire to know the Truth the team will bring to them.

Vischongo, Ayacucho

Tomorrow a team from North Arkansas will make the long journey from Lima to Ayacucho and then minister in the village of Vischongo for a week. Pray for the team as they continue to build relationships. Pray that they will be able to connect with the few Believers they met on previous trips. Pray that God will call out Believers who will lead during the teams absence.
